I can not believe it has almost been a month since I have blogged. Life has been quiet. Working and still looking for one full time job so I can quit working three part time jobs. Realizing that is lonely being single at times but when I see a couple arguing am thankful for being single. Is that odd for me to feel this way?

Life happens

Seems that it has been quite awhile since I posted something. Shame on me. What have been doing you ask? Working, working, and working! It seems life happens and sometimes things get the best of me. I am going to get back on track. I see politics is taking over the media again. I am about just sick of all this bickering and accusations. Racism is still alive in this country and it saddens me. Only it is not as mean. The people who practice this hate are just nicer how they put things. Well I am going to make it clear Racism is just that racism. It is not nice nor is it accepted by me. So be careful what you say around me, for you will get your feelings hurt. Judge not unless you want to be judged yourself.

Is it the weekend yet?

The labor day is upon us again. I am ready to enjoy the long weekend. My goal is to do some movie watching. I am also learning to watch scary movies so I can keep up with my BFF christina. She is Ms. Scary Movie Freak. I am also enjoying my sookie stackhouse series. I have been slow on the first book but am determined to get through it and the second one this weekend.

Senators and Death

What a week it has been. All in all I have no complaints. I am rather sad to hear of the passing of Senator Kennedy. He really made impact among the poor and less fortunate individuals. He was always fighting for the underdog. There is no question he had some personal problems over the years but who has a perfect life. I know I do not and glad for that otherwise it would be BORING! He was strong advocate for health care when health care has not been the focus. Who knows what will become of this health care reform. Just know Mr. Kennedy that you tried your best and that is all anyone can ask for. You will be missed.

Blah.......

You know I just feel blah............I am reading Sookie series now. Did I tell everyone that I am really loving my vampires. Also the vampire diaries premieres on Sept 10 on the CW channel. I am so excited. Maybe I was a vampire in last life???

Attitudes and Work

What a week, I am totally exhausted. But I am pushing forward and not let the exhaustion get to me. It seems with this recession, that attitudes are high in all areas. In the work place I have seen nothing but " I do everything" attitude. This is a pure false hood from those who speak in this manner. Half of those who talk this way are just trying to make themselves look good. Whatever happen to compassion?

Services

So today I had a long day. But something that bugs me, people who buy items from the store of choice and still except a free item. What? People have no shame? It is a recession. We all are suffering. If you can not afford the item do not buy the item or except a discount or a free item. Okay that is my rant for the day. I need to grade and something sweet to eat.

Shopping Carts and the Mayor

Okay this has to be rather amusing of the subject. I went to Lowes on the way home today. I was parking and happen to see the mayor of Clarksville. Mr. Johnny Piper. There he was talking on his phone and unloading the shopping cart. He, like most, did not put the cart back in the appropriate cart holder. No, that was too easy. That cart rolled almost half way down the parking lot and hit not one but two vehicles. So my question, How can he be a good example to the citizens of Clarksville if he can not at least put the shopping cart back. Okay, now why did I not say anything? Because people.............................I was just shocked and amused!!! It just proves even policitians are little piss ants too.

Michael Vick

This will be my only time talking about Michael Vick. So please know it is not my intention to offend anyone but let me be frank on this man. Yes, he is talented. Yes, he has apologized. Yes, he has done prison time. But I can not wrap my head around someone intentionally killing an animal that was not being aggressive. Dog Fighting is an aggressive situation to put animals in and you get what you get with that situation. I believe everyone deserves a second chance but I am not sure the NFL sees what it will do to people. It sends the message that the Rich and Famous are above the punishment. Because frankly, he was not punished enough. Now, before everyone starts blowing smoke.......this has nothing to do with the color of his skin. I personally could care less about that. I care about the behavior of the individual. His behavior was terrible and who is to say he has learned anything. Has he?
On my final rant, Michael Vick please take your second chance. Learn from your mistakes and please do not prove me right.

Watermelon

So I am grading this afternoon. Yes, I said grading. For those who do not know. I teach online college classes and a few nights week in town. I have to say this last year has been interesting. So I am taking a break, snacking on my favorite snack. Which snack is this you ask? Watermelon of course! I love this stuff and have major withdrawals in the winter time. The con of eating this lovely fruit. You end up going to the bathroom a few times more so than average. Either that or I have a small bladder. Which could it be? I like to hope it is not the latter of the two.

Listening to the television..............thinking of eating some yummy Watermelon. Oh get ready......because I am going to discuss Michael Vick.
